Adorable rick-rack that makes this kitten squeeeeel! I love rick-rack! It is worn with a old black sweater thrifted and my adorable 40's Remix play shoes...and red Bakelite earrings from vintage antique mall in orange county...orange circle! OH Go there its wonderful!!!!

This truly amazing movie shows the "real" strong Vintage housewife of the 50's...not the glam-er-uss, pin curled, pin up that so many want to be...this is the true life of one truly amazing woman...co-star hubby is played by Woody Harrelson

being my very favorite vintage clothing inspired movie..it shows the true housewife clothing of house dresses, aprons, and the amazing 1940's wedgies that many housewives wore in the 1950's...which were actually a poor woman's way to shoe themselves...Remix my very favorite re-vamped company that remakes the 40's wedge shoe...was the outfitter for all the shoes in this movie...

Simply this movie shows the hard work of a 1950's housewife, tryin' to keep a family of 12 running with her Witty job of "contesting" while her drunk of a husband gives her mountains of pain and sorrow.

That inspires this Vintage Housewife...the real & true fashion of feedsack dresses, that her lil'ones wipe their sweet faces on. And hair not over done with mile high victory rolls...but true 50's soft flip bob with soft finger waves of a over worked housewife... this sad true story has a Vintage housewife real-ness that our moms, grandmas, and great grandmas had! I love it!

Sooooooo, because this is such a great pms, rainy day, pj day movie...I am giving away a new copy! I am just so excited & thankful to all my faithful kittens who read my blog...what a ride we've had huh?...and as i get ready for this new fresh year...i have been thinkin' just what to do about this silly lil' blog...about a tatoo'd, swing dancin' gal...who has lived the Vintage Housewife life for the past 17 years...her collection of vintage dresses...her sweet Lucy car...and 50's trailer...hmmmm what to do?...what's next...i've met some amazing kittens...i've read the sweetest comments evah-...what to do...what to do? Well until i figure it all out...

Ahhh...the Freshness of the New Year!

Ahhhh...the freshness of a New Year is just around the corner Kittens...and this gal is ready to get it underway...after sitting and thinkin' all about the New Year...I'm gettin' right to it...

sparklin' ! Yep sparklin'...This ol ' life right up...now that the holiday is passed this kitten is ready to shine! There is something so exciting about the New Year...a sort of start over...And gals i want to sparkle...

so first off kittens...spring cleanin' this ol house...yep...every year i start fresh. I get rid of the old...and wait for whats new! Ahhh what fun that is ! I do more spring cleanin' now than in the spring...& oh honey I love it! Puttin away the clutter, freshin-in' up the house...and ooh dolls...hittin' those closets!

Ahh what a sparklin' way to sass it all up. I make yummy plans & goals...and get all my thoughts together! I pass along treasures that i've collected and spend time checking my vintage dresses to see if they are still to die for...or ready for another adventure! ahhh...the freshness of the New Year!

yes she did...it's tried and true...gals...You' ll feel like you have a bounce in your step...crisp and ready for what this New Year has in store! So i am one pistol packin mama...ready to clean this here ol' life right up...and start a new!

HEY, Cat Let's Do One NOW! okay!

so to get it started...i'll answer one i got emailed a few weeks ago..."Cat has anyone ever recognized you out and about?"...oh my, a BIG YES!!!!! a few times in fact...the first time was soooo weird...it took me by surprise for sure! I'm sooo nothin' special!! But i loved it! It was so humbling and nice!

One particular time i was out runnin' errands...and a sweet blonde lady was walkin' toward me...miss Mary from walmart i call her...saying..."oh my, your ,your the vintage housewife!" Took my heart by surprise indeed...we chit chatted and i loved gettin' to know her and listened to the things she liked about my blog and the blog world...it was a life moment indeed! Love ya Mary from walmart! hee hee

ok on with the show...sharin' about my lil' vintage trailer, is something you ladies seem to like & i wanna do more...she is sooo much fun...and i have a few tricks up my sleeves...hee hee...so for now a few lil' things i found in an antique store...cute lil' vintage trailer goodies...

so i had to give a lil' daily fashion... this 1940's black gingham checked farm dress is a errand treat! zippered front with a big Bakelite red button on top...and ok, for the best part...sweet tulips on the pockets in red! isn't that adorable! it has the matching belt but on this particular day...i felt like a lil' sweet bow instead! this is actually one of the first vintage farm dresses i ever bought! I think it is still one of my favorites...

so now i want you to sit and have a lil' piece of cake! I want to take a moment and ask that you let me thank you for all your support and kind wishes for this kitten...i am very blessed by this blog...and i do hope you are as well...i hope it is fun!
