The Mediterranean design is the perfect combination between natural elements, elegance, and relaxation. Something as simple as having a hammock, some exotic plants, and an anchor on a wall will create that Mediterranean feel. Create an outdoor oasis with a terrarium.

The color pallet that is specific to this trend tries to reproduce the elements of the marine sightseeing: the blue of the sea, the pale yellow of the sand and the white for the solar shine must be the main colors if you are looking for this kind of feature in your home.

The Mediterranean style is founded on nature instead of industrial design. The materials themselves are usually natural and lightweight such as cotton and furniture.

When redoing the floor, the ideal type to use is a wooden parquet created from pine since it has a lighter color. Natural stone is also an option. Remember not to overreact with it, as it can give an impression of cold. If you include floor heating, you may feel like you are walking on hot Mediterranean sand.

The furniture you decide on should be simple and fairly minimalist. You need to have light colors and you could add some components of classicism if you desire. If you want to include elements of the beach, you can by having blossoms, some sand and scallop shells. Setting this in place in the hallway is an effective way to set the atmosphere for your guests. For this reason we suggest that you have some type of seaside symbol at your entrance. Using a thing like an anchor would be great for the entry. A clear vase with some withered flowers will look great, especially if you are adding a handful of scallops in it.

The living room area can be viewed as as being a relaxation oasis. When you have the space, the hammock becomes the principal item of the room. Make use of powerful hooks to fix it in the wall, and you can also add a palm tree to complete the atmosphere. Add in some colored stones and you will have your dream oasis. For the settees, you must keep the same color gamma: white, blue, and yellow. Never load the room too much, purchase a few bamboo armchairs, and try to choose only small tables. You can easily add accessories like shells, and pebbles in a transparent drawer.

For your window curtains, you could have patterns with vertical blue and white stripes. The wall surfaces can remain simple, still a sand painting or a marine inspired drawing could complete this captivating and relaxing atmosphere.

Not a great number of decorators will select the wooden boat since it is a bit pass. And yet if you have room, you may as well feature it. You will need a big one, with many different details, and manually made if possible.

It's possible to have your bedroom look tropical with the help of fine white lingerie. You may also position a bowl of sand and perfumed flowers next to your bedside as well. It's also possible to have a bamboo screen used just for show.
