Hello kittens i thought to share my original inspiration for my vintage lifestyle...this is Lavern my sassy and beautiful grandmother along with my sailor grandfather Shad...they truly have given much inspiration and love for the 40's and times of past. As well as much pride in this country and our military...
Well this past week sassy grandma Lavern went home to be with her Lord and her sailor boy...with much sadness, happiness, and much much love she will be missed by this kitten...

Our relationship had many many talks about times of the 40's and 50's when women placed their families first and love their sailor boys. She was a women with much sassy style making her own clothes, and never leaving the house without her jewelry & her nails painted. She gave me the love of wanting to provide a warm home for all friends and family. And that ol' southern texas love of many many old southern gospel songs...as well as that old casino excitement of lady luck...lucky Lavern loved a good game of poker!

She always had a wonderful vintage memory to share with this kitten and i will hold close our wonderful talks...before grandpa Shad passed he had me learn their song...so i could sing it to her when he was gone...yesterday i was able to for the last time...
a 40's song...bell bottom trousers, navy coats of blue...she loves her sailor and he loves her too...what a wonderful memory...
and what a woman...i long to be just like lucky Lavern...the original Vintage housewife... thanks for letting me share my wonderful & happy memories of grandma Lavern my true inspiration...thanks for swingin by cat~
