The Killer!!! Viva Car show #2

Heya kittens...you ready...for the Killer...my oh my...a once in a lifetime joy...

Ok so daddy-o knew i wanted to see the one and only Jerry Lee Lewis...even though my feet were in pain from those darn vintage espadrilles i wore to the car show =0(...so off to do a quick comfy outfit change which was a farm dress & my ol trusty cowgirl boots...then back to this...this is the crowd for Jerry Lee Lewis...can you imagine! I was so excited to see tens of thousands to see the killer!

Daddy-o & I waitin' to see the one and only! Me in my new farm dress cowgirl boots & Daddy-o in this awesome gun metal studded button up western shirt. Take a look here...The Killer...He arrived via white limousine...in all his rock n roll fashion...just after his daughter, on the left opened the show for him...his wife ,on the right...

he welcomed the crowd...then got right to it...playin' those fab tunes...

yep... me...very very excited...wooooo weeeeee!

His show was wonderful! Thank you Jerry Lee for your rocken' music!!!

So after the show which was in the hot hot sun...Daddy-o & I ran to get another quick outfit change...on our way upstairs I ran into this doll!!!!!

Miss Dollie from The Rockabilly Socialite! We had passed each other a few times & had to snap a quick photo...she was adorable!!!!

This was a quick change for dinner... I had to wear my comfiest shoes so my outfits changed drastically for the weekend(oh well) =0) ...i bought a whole lot of 40's japan fruit on ebay a while ago that I made shoe clips out of ...& scored two brooches as well...fruit makes me so happy! yippy! I later changed again for dancin'...but didn't bring my camera or a purse even...i was hittin' the dance floor hard...my feet could heal when i got home...tee hee ;0) So that is it...my adventure to see this amazing man...Jerry Lee Lewis! thanks for swingin' by...Cat~

Viva & the Car show part #1

Hey all...Cat & Daddy-o...all ready to go...out to one rocken' car show...Viva baby! yep we are dressed and ready to go wearin' my wonderful, fab-u-less, & plain ol one of a kind vintage 50's Kamehameha petal bust Hawaiian dress! This gals is unheard of in my size so this past year when i scored it off of ebay...i thought i would die & i think i would have paid almost anything for it! ...so to wear it finally i was just freakin' giddy ...isn't it a beautiful color? I also loved wearin' my fruit jewels & paired it with my wicker box purse that has fruit all over it=)

Sadly I almost died wearin some 40's vintage canvas espadrilles that i scored just days before Viva they were narrow & killed my feet which messed up all my outfits for the remainder of my trip =( boohoo! Thank goodness i bring lots of shoes(a tub full) & dresses just in case i gotta change it all around Yay!...my handsome Daddy o looked great...ready for some cars in his matchin' vintage shirt & his vintage hat!

Ok so ...you gotta know this is were Daddy-o & I marry my vintage life with his favorite hobby...Cars!! He adores workin' on, talkin' about, & givin' advice to anyone who wants to talk Cars!!! We always are up bright and early for this...

See in' ol friends(my favorite New Yorkers) these two always have a sweet ol' hug & nice comment for us every year...doesn't Nene have the most amazing jewels...my girls died over her bag!!!!! The car show is great for...chit chattin'...and takin' in the wonderful sun...huggs guys...also hey to Quinn & Tim!!!

ok so here we go...a sweet lil' 70's Kenskill trailer...this thing had spray paint all over it...she took it off with 409....crazy work!!!!! It wasn't in good shape inside...but it was fun to look at...

this one was a hoot!!! Viva or Bust and it was down on the ground...this trailer had bags...oh my we loved it!!!

Viva Viva...OH what a time at Viva!

Hey kittens...its me!!!!...boy oh boy...I am so well wrested...& so excited to share...Viva...with all you gals... Woo Weeee! What a wonderful ride... Viva this year was one amazing time...This is my Friday dress...a 1930's dress with amazing Lucite buckles at top of shoulders making a bow in the fabric how cute is that? Also at waist with belt Brand new never worn amazing wonderful dress!! I never wear baby blue...but oh my I adore this new dress. I added Super yummy red ribbon bow pin...& yummy Bakelite necklace and bracelets!

I am a lil bummed out...for i didn't get any photos of Thursday...the drive started totally rocken'...Daddy o & I were ready for one wonderful trip. I wore a black gingham swirl dress for travel...easy & comfy...with the most amazing jewelry...I got stopped countless times give compliment to my style & jewels...wow...just an ol' travel dress was a hit! On Thursday I was stopped 3 times with the words" oh my gosh...its Cat the Vintage housewife" wow! What a huge compliment...just ol' me...I adored meetin' so many first timers...and missed old friends.

So, so sorry for no Thursday photos, you know I wanted to take pictures on Thursday...but I had one thing on my mind...check in our room & then...i was just too excited to start shoppin' up a storm cuz you gotta hit the goods right from the start !...to hit the Jack pot! And I did...i really did...So here is a few eye candy photos of shoppin' in the ballrooms...

next the countless racks of vintage goodies...this is one of my favorite gals around...This is DonnaLand...from the sassy Donna herself from good ol' Missouri...every year its like a ol' girlfriend meet up we squeel & hug...she is a doll...she adores Daddy o...and she always is so excited to see us...what a wonderful gal...plus she gives me the best deals evah! That's the best kinda friend!

Boss vintage...they have the goods...gals this is an amazing collection of high quality vintage clothes...simply a great find every time I check them out...they adore Daddy o as well...he always makes friends with the vendors...i shop he be friends...then i get great deals...win win!!!

next a few great moments from Friday...I met the most amazing and friendly people evah! And watch a great band from Chicago...

super Chicago band...sort of a blues rockabilly style...but next is a treat... I met the wonderful...

Tasha & Mel...from by gum by golly...I couldn't believe it...they were the nicest evah...I was too darn excited...Daddyo asked if we could sit at their table...& when i looked up I couldn't believe it was them...they were so nice...so down to earth...and so darn sweet!

Loved them...shared a hour chit chattin' about campin' & vintage trailers...had a drink but funny I had to run up to my room to bid on a dress on ebay!!??? WHat?? yup who does that @ Viva...well me! I had my eye on a fab dress that i wasn't going to miss...Daddy o set his alarm...so I could bid on time...Yes I won it for a great price...this weekend was startin' off to be the best Viva evah! tee hee!

ekkkk...yes check this one out...Miss Kim Bombshell...from the Kim show...what an excitin' night this was...she is a freakin' hoot!!!!!!!!! This is one sassy gal indeed...i adore her!!! She is so fun...full of life...and oh honey soooooo interesting!!! She is the who's who....miss kim is so a bombshell...she is so stinkin' nice!!!!

as miss sassy Kim and i were chattin'... miss temperamental broad swung by with a sweet hug but sadly no photo... this above an adorable gal who recognized me from my blog...what a treat...she was so excited to meet me...just ol' me??? wow I thought how amazing of a kitten...her mom took photos & i got to ask her loads of questions...her first time in Viva...I sure hope she had a wonderful time...I loved meetin' her & so glad she said HI!!!!

so Friday we ended our night dancin'....here I am not as fresh after a few dances around the floor...but we totally had a great time together...we always do...this Viva was probably one of our favorite in years...although the crowds were enormous... we enjoyed meeting so many nice people!

Viva gals...can i join in!

Heya sasssy kittens...Viva is around the corner and i am so lovin' all the posts from all you gals!!! So i thought i would join in...hey i wanna play too!

Well you gals have done it...you gals have did some great posts...what to wear...how to do it...I was so thinkin' how awesome this year is gonna be...the blog world has really brought vintage gals together...its so Rocken'!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Past years...have been great but meetin' & greetin' some blog gals is gonna be the highlight...dontcha' think!? I just can't wait

...so below i thought to post some photos from past Viva years... this is a pic from 2 years ago i think...I kinda place all my goodies out...put'in things together seeing what i can't live without...and what i have to...this pile grows and grows...
now you've got to remember the pool party...years ago it was one day...sunday...but there is talk it will be a few days this year...so bring your play suits!

Now Viva is my place to score jewels! There are amazing sets...one thing i have learned very early on in my Viva adventures is you gotta bring the jewels! They finish your outfits off...This set here...well its gonna be up for grabs real real soon keep posted...I'm gonna have a gotta have it Give Away before Viva...

There are lots of different takes on vintage fashion...I never really take a lot of photos cuz i am having well fun! ...But not this year...I'm gonna be one tourist picture takin' fool...especially with all the blog gals goin'...I feel like I'm gonna go see "A list stars"! Tee hee...you gals are stars!

this year for the first time there are going to be makeup & hair workshops... and a show about women in the era's wow! I think i might try to hit more of that kinda stuff this year...instead of just hittin' the floor & the boot!

ok so we go for the shopping, dancing, fashion, friends, cars and yes the boot!!! But i know you all go for these two things most...
