The guys... Hey gals!!!! Summertime is kicked off to be one fun sum, sum, summertime! It seems as every weekend has been full of family & friends...park days...bbq's...and lots of pool time...we have been very blessed with our close family & friends.!

This was one special park day...it was the first time my whole side of my dads family had a family day since my grandma passed...it was filled with special memories & fun...with photos of my grandparents on every table...=0)

The gals... What a day...watching my mom & me two aunts step up as the older ladies of the family...was heart warming...

me and my bro...my lil' girls...& my guys...my dad, my bro, & my hunny...all nice and friendly...until...

this game happens...toss! This game divides our family like no other....Winners from the LOOOOSERS!!!!!

and look who is a Winner!!! my hunny is so happy he's a Winner!

A Happy Graduation & A Vintage Housewife stamp of approval #2

Hello gals...let me kick of this post with this photo...Look at this darlin' gal, My Graduation baby chick...
Ok so summer has started off very busy & it has been such a treat...this is my youngest baby chick in her 8th grade graduation dress...a stunning white dress which She was happy in keeping with our family tradition...

A Vintage 1950's amazing lace dress...this absolutely stunning dress was threaded with silver in the midst of the most white lace...A dress I found in Las Vegas at a vintage show...amazingly it fit like a glove and was brand new! It couldn't be more perfect...She adored it & even though we went shopping for dresses and even bought 2 just in case...she still went back to the Vintage lace dress!

She loved it...first it was perfect style for 8th grade, not halter or strapless which isn't allowed so she didn't need to cover up...plus all the teachers and many parents stopped her to say how lovely she looked...it was different & I think it really made her sparkle to hear such amazingly kind words...

She was beautifully confident & Happy...the best accessory to any occasion!

And yes her wonderful, full, happy personality shined all the way through!

Now why this dress was the most perfect for this baby chick...She was giddy & truly delighted at this dress...Well here is the dress story...My amazing girls choose vintage dresses for graduation, which makes me so excited each time. Because they shine...they look different. Stranger after stranger stop them with you look so lady like, or Oh my your so beautiful, which always feels good. I show them that not always following the styles that young girls wear now-a-days is best, They both agree!

Ok so This amazing dress i found in Las Vegas & I put it away...as graduation time & shopping grew near to an end...she kept going back to this dress...now what really sealed the deal for this dress, was her heart...My adorable baby chick who has the kindest most full heart to help others found these....

Toms shoes...I am sure you all know about them but if you don't they are a shoe company which gives a pair of shoes away when you buy one! She adores them & has now earned many pairs...She goes on their blog & watches how they do shoe drops of millions of shoes to children in need...it makes her heart so full & someday would love to do some sort of shoe party with her friends so they could have lots of shoes given one for one!

So these were her ultimate favorites...the glitters...which she adores all the colors...& noticed they were very fancy and festive for proms & graduations! Even people are wearing them for their wedding & they mean so much!

So a few weeks ago they came out with these...Silver Glitters! Well I bought them not even thinking of the dress...when they arrived...she ran to the dress tried it on and came out beaming...."This is soooo perfect mom!!!" I can wear the Vintage dress & have Tom's be a part of my special day! How cool is that?! Now the girls & I have been wearing them with our vintage dresses and they are so comfy plus people stop us because they go so well & stand for so much! Flea Market Junkin' !

Hey there kittens! What a great day to hit the Flea Market don'tcha think? For a early mother's day/slash birthday/slash just gotta have a lil' girl time in...we hit the wonderful Pasadena City College flea market! This is me and lil' soccer, baby chick...in our vintage house dresses...hers a wonderful 40's red wrap apron dress gifted from shelly from mothers kitchen...me my newly won brown circle 30's farm dress...new old stock ebay with bakelite buckle & ruffles. My snazzy new birthday present from Daddy-o...my freakin' awesome Coco Chanel sunglasses which he bought for me @ Chanel in Vegas...i loooooooooove Chanel! I'd say it is my most loved signature brand...hmmmm (sigh )... joy!
So on with the junkin' huh gals first off lets check out the...vintage dresses...my girls checkin out the racks...

the apron lady...i always feel like i'm in her home she has countless vintage aprons and lots of kitchen goods...

next a quick snap of a photo...my baby chick is always glued to me lately... I remember my oldest also like that at this age as well... just under her mama's wing...i simply adore it...what a blessing!

one thing about this flea market is this dress seller...has three different set ups...he has enough dresses to fill 3 spots in different places...makes for some good lookin'

now gals this is it...first there is the parking structure which you saw that is filled with vendors & shady...next this is one of the two parking lots filled with goods...and this flea market unlike others is free to get in. The students sell food and drinks to raise money for their clubs...so its a great cause to shop here.

one thing i found out about my oldest baby chick is she is a digger which we call anyone who will jump right on in to a box that says a $$ 1.00...she spends her money so well...she will junk & patiently wait for the best deal of the day...I am so not a digger...she had deals that up-d mine all weekend...so impressive!!!!!! I loved this photo...the backs of these adorable dresses...one buttoned down the back...one wrapped across...i love dresses with extra cuteness on them!

So that was a snap shot of a very fun day junkin'...This baby chick scored these adorable cowgirl boots & an ol tattered silver serving tray to place her junk jewelry on $4.00...she was excited... she is addicted to cute cowgirl boots

...my oldest baby chick scored 5 vintage nightgowns & robes all for a $1.00 a piece(WOW digger!) a 1920's lace vintage dress that she talked down to $8.00, a vintage dress & some vintage sunglasses...

Daddy-o got 2 vintage fruit necklaces for me for $5.00 for both...he was like running to get them like they were the deal of the decade it was so funny the girls were dying sayin' he is so into this ;) tee hee

I got 2 50's necklaces $ 15.00... yahoo...like i don't have enough...3 large & super heavy vintage crystal goblets...$ 20.00...and a full day of junkin' with my gals...just wonderful!

Fun! Facts! & its Friday outfit post! # 14

hey gals!!! i thought to do an all in one post Fun Facts & its Friday post...so here goes...first a daily outfit...awww this amazing dress from ebay that i posted about came...yippy i love it...it was so darn cute and comfy...zipper front sweet ric-rac...and the sweetest lil' white flowers on top...it fit so well like it was made for me. It's a keeper!

Next this week i sent my baby chic off to college...on our way we found this...the taco station...we loved it...the best darn taco's evah! Adorable station decor...

getting ready to meetup with her college at the University...college of engineering! Her major is bio-mecial engineering...wow what a hard road ahead...we are so proud!

NOW MOVE IN...& A FUNNY STORY...

next...walking into her dorm for the first time....eeeeekkkkkk!!!! We decorated it so cute...then a few hours later they had her move floors...ahhhh...what a funny moment...she was throwing things in the boxes unlike the careful care we spent folding everything all week! She was on the move again...what a story! =0)

next lets throw in a fun fact Friday...Summertime style...for that green pool hair...make a solution of 1/2 cup of baking soda & 1 cup lemon juice.

Wet your hair and pour the solution over it immediately as it bubbles up! rinse and wallah! Anyone who tries it...let me know if it works...

The Vintage Housewife & A Life Moment! let me share!

I just wanna share with all you gals...my life Moment!

Our Graduate with honors...

my sweet baby chick...her pink graduation dress...vintage pink pearls and amazing shoes...

my not Vintage dress boo hoo...she wanted everyone to wear pink...even aunts uncles granny's and dad...we all wore some sort of pink...i couldn't find a suitable vintage dress so last minute shopping i found this dress! I paired it with floral straw wedgies from target gotta love target!

her very sweet dress ! She always wears a vintage dress for graduations and ceremonies. She is always lovely, because she is different than today's styles... she won a award @ graduation voted by the teachers...best dress, best shoes, and best graduation hat...very nice of them...

and now the wonderful shoes...i died over these darn things...she wore them for me... I looooooove them! Pink roses all over them...to die for!

ya um the minute she got her diploma...ugly robe open cute dress showing!
