Swimming pools chemicals are necessary these days. Swimming pools give your house the exact look you want. The presence of a pool helps you attain the spiritual and mental peace you want. The pool only looks good if it is well maintained and is kept in proper shape. This is done by following some basic rules. The pool must be cleaned at a regular interval, it must be covered when not in use and lastly proper chemicals in the right quantity must be applied to have healthy water in your pool.

Why use swimming pool chemical substances

There are many pool chemicals available for the pool. Each of them is different from the other and always has their own part to play. Bacteria and algae are the most common organism which is seen growing in the pool. These organisms can be seen growing in the surface or on the walls of the pool. The pool chemicals are killed by the use of chemicals like alum or chlorine. Alum is a good chemical but it results in the change of the pH of the water so chlorine can be used instead. The chlorine helps in killing any sort of micro-organism in the pool. This is done so that your pool looks clean and does not have harmful organism in it. The chlorine used once should be changed after some days as the chlorine when comes in contact with the micro-organism gets contaminated.

Chemical substances made use of and their effects

The chlorine must be removed from the pool for this the use of shock therapy is vital. Chlorine can be given for the pool in types of powder, liquid, tablets or by way of sticks. All these methods results in the addition in the required amount of chemical inside the pool. The only predicament arises with all the addition would be the chlorine could not have superior effects on the body. So though applying the chemical an addition of Cyanuric acid is accomplished to stabilize the effect of chlorine. This can be accomplished at a high price tag as the effectiveness with the chlorine is also decreased as a result of the Cyanuric acid added.

For the above mentioned problem many people prefer using Bromine instead of Chlorine. This is also manufactured in the form of tablets or liquids. This is preferred as the working is similar to chlorine that it kills all micro-organisms, but it has no odor. So the pool does not smell your chemicals. The other thing which must also be taken under consideration is that the Bromine has got almost no effect on eyes or skin. The only problem associated with this is that the Cyanuric acid cannot be used to stabilize it.

The last thing you must take care is to maintain the pH level of the water as the normal pH should be 7.2. The usage of pool chemicals or the falling of dirt in the pool might result in changing the pH of the pool. Thus to retain the pH the pool chemical used can be Muriatic acid or Granular acid which saves you from different kind of skin problems and eye irritations.
