Fashion icon of the year 2011 - Emmanuel Ray

The flamboyant, dark, feared and fascinating Emmanuel Ray from Sri Lanka won the Fashion Icon of the year (2011) at Fashions Finest Awards in the UK.

Dressed to impress, Emmanuel Ray received the award in a fashionable grey suit (Italian fashion house Antony Morato thanks to Milan Fashions UK) and super chic hairdo.

His raw, tough look impressed the audiences and his fans around the planet who enthusiastically voted for him to win.

The sophisticated evening was held at the significant Gibson Hall in Bishopsgate, London. The fashionisto and socialite Emmanuel ray was named Britain's first It Boy by BBC when he initially began his career in London as the only ethnic who was open to sexuality and spoke his mind. The It Boy delivered, a laughter spilling audience, speech at event:

"I never expected to win this award so started drinking from the instant I stepped into this hall. Several folk have helped me along my journey and I wouldn't have an impressive career without the enormous support I have received from my audience,"

He is most definitely a divo of Britain's Sex and the City.

Emmanuel started life in Sri Lanka. At a tender age he'd been scouted by a paparazzo which commenced his modeling career in the Clothes Business. He has modelled in Europe, Far East and the Middle East where he also graced the runways at fashion shows. He quit modeling in the early noughties and returned on the scene as a fashion writer and presenter, in March 2009.
