I love Fiat 500's, and I love fashion, so this post is a combination of the two, as Fiat is releasing the Fiat 500 by Gucci! It is a special edition of the iconic Italian car, Fiat 500 customised by Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini. The new car features exteriors in two colours, Black or White, both enhanced by the exclusive paint with glass beads which make it shine like a gem. The rims have an unmistakable retro spoked design, to match the colour of the interiors, and embellished by the "diamanté" on the spokes.
Inside, the Fiat "500 by Gucci" offers an elegant and functional space. It is said to be brimming with fashion references and embellished by exclusive materials, such as the glossy or satin chrome elements, the dashboard painted with a sophisticated velvet-effect treatment, and the two-tone seats covered in Frau leather. Anyone who is a fashion diva will want this car.
In the UK there will an economical 1.2 litre – which will cost £14,565 – and the award-winning 0.9 litre TwinAir, priced at £15,765. Both will be released in summer 2011. A bit expensive for my studenty budget, but a very beautiful car. Fiat have already enjoyed success with the special edition Fiat 500 Pink which I just love!
