If you are thinking about getting a puppy or you already have one, I bet you want to get him toys that he'll really enjoy playing with, right?

Toys are made to bring joy and happiness into the home, but that is not the only reason why you should get them. They will also be helpful in terms of your puppy's social and physical well-being.

First things first: the size of the toy is of utmost importance. Keep in mind how small your puppy still is; the toys should be in proportion to his own size.

Here is the problem: a toy that is too big for him will not be fun to play with. And a toy that is too small for a puppy's need is a serious risk, because he might swallow it or choke on it.

Moving on: you will also want to provide toys for your puppy that are stimulating -both mentally and physically. Also try to find something that matches your puppy's personality or temperament. Get a push toy for a cuddly puppy and a ball for an active one.

Furthermore, as you can imagine, your puppy is going to want to chew. Unless you want him to chew on your favorite shoes, getting him a chewing toy would also be a good idea. It will be much appreciated by your dog.

Most of all: make sure that all toys you get are made for puppies. If anything brakes off because of poor quality, the puppy could choke on it, and surely you would not want that. So by high-quality, puppy-safe toys only please.

In conclusion, it can be said that the three things you are looking for are size, safety, and quality. If you find those in any given toy, you should be good to go. However, if you are not sure whether or not it is an appropriate toy for your dog, don't use it.

Just one more thing: toys are an important aspect of any puppy's life. But so are you - his owner. It is important that you do not substitute your much needed presences in his life with expensive toys.
